Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced RI / Operations Manager to join a growing children’s residential provider based in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and knowledgeable professional with a strong background in children’s residential care and operational management.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing multiple children’s homes, ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance, staff performance, and operational efficiency across the service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and performance of children’s residential homes
- Ensure all services operate in line with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
- Support and manage Registered Managers and wider staff teams
- Drive quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement across services
- Monitor occupancy, budgets, staffing levels, and overall business performance
- Assist with the growth and development of the organisation
- Conduct Regulation 44 visits and operational audits where required
- Maintain strong relationships with local authorities and external professionals
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within children’s residential management
- Previous experience as an RI, Operations Manager, or Senior Manager within children’s residential care
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Solid understanding of the operational and business aspects involved in running children’s homes, including budgets, occupancy, staffing, and service development
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Competitive salary up to £80,000 DOE
