Pay: £13.10 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Location: One Angel Square, Northampton (office-based)
Length: 8 weeks (starting July 2026)

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of West Northamptonshire Council for Revenue & Benefits Assistant to join their team on a short-term summer assignment.

This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain office experience or support a busy public sector team during a peak workload period. The role focuses on general administrative support, helping keep services running smoothly.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting the team with general day-to-day admin tasks


• Managing and organising emails and shared inboxes


• Data entry and updating records accurately


• Assisting with document scanning, filing, and indexing


• Using systems such as Word, Excel, and Outlook


• Making occasional customer call backs or responding to basic queries


• Supporting wider team tasks as required

What we're looking for:

• Basic experience or confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)


• Good written and verbal communication


• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes


• Organised with a proactive, can-do attitude


• Able to work well as part of a team

Additional information:

• Basic DBS check required
