Retail Supervisor - Browns Foods Store & BP Forecourt

Role: Retail Supervisor

Hours: 39 hours per week, mixture of mornings, days, evenings (up to 10pm) \& weekends.

Position Summary

As a Retail Supervisor at Browns Food Stores, you will strive to ensure that you and the team make a difference to our customers every visit. Exceptional customer service is the essence of Browns Food Stores, which you will lead the team to deliver with Browns Customer Promise.

Retail Supervisors assist the Store manager in the smooth running of the store whilst maintaining high standards of work. You will focus on leading the team to ensures customer service, forecourt safety, forecourt security, operational and cleanliness standards are maintained.

As the supervisor in charge of the shift you will ensure the smooth running of the team, take responsibility and accountability for the store as deputy to the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service


• Maintain store cleanliness and professional appearance


• Manage fuel deliveries and handle equipment breakdowns


• Oversee day\-to\-day site operations and ensure targets are met


• Remove out\-of\-date stock and maintain accurate stock levels


• Organise staff rotas and cover for illness or absenteeism


• Accurate ordering of shop products and other forecourt related products.


• Ensure the store is fully stocked, tidy, and compliant with pricing and promotions


• Minimise stock losses and shortages


• Complete regular stocktakes and maintain back\-office systems


• Adhere to all health \& safety and legal requirements, including regular checks

• Strong leadership and communication skills


• Commitment to excellent customer service


• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work flexible hours


• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness


• Experience in retail or supervisory roles is essential
