We wish to hire a Retail Merchandiser who can work 12 hours per week, i.e. 2 to 3 hours on 4 to 5 days each week, including weekends, in our Curraheen Road location.

The position will involve managing stock, promoting products with tastings following training and maintaining the appearance of the Sheridans concession in Dunnes Stores, Curaheen Road, among other responsibilities detailed below.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Retail Merchandiser, Sheridans Cheesemongers

DEPARTMENT: Retail

1\. Scope of Position

The employee will maintain product merchandising, stock levels, cleanliness, and consistency of display in the style laid out by their line manager. They will carrry out promotional tastings as per their line manager's instructions.

2\. Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the Sheridans retail outlet is merchandised and presented in a visually attractive way with a focus on customer needs.

  • To carry out tastings, engaging with customers in a positive and friendly way in accordance with Sheridans' customer service policies.

  • To communicate regular updates to their line manager.

  • At the location the employee will:

monitor stock levels

maintain cleanliness of locations as per H.A.C.C.P. plan.

conduct daily spot\-cleaning as required.

maintain an attractive visual display of stock though regular merchandising

carry oout stock rotation: rotate existing product by date.

restock, ensuring that the site wall is always adequately stocked with appropriate products.

  • Reporting to: Team Leader and Retail Manager

  • Working with: Cheesemongers and Team Leader(s)

  • Manage/Supervise: n/a

4\. Qualifications/Experience
  • At least 1 year working in similar retail setting or company to Sheridans preferrable, though not essential.

  • Awareness of HACCP/Food Safety in retail.

  • Organised and calm in a fast\-paced environment.

  • Available for 4 to 5 short shifts per week including weekends as required to support business needs.
