Retail Operations Lead Manager
Redgate Farm Animal Sanctuary is seeking a confident, people‑focused retail leader to oversee the performance and development of our three charity shops. This role is central to generating sustainable income that supports the rescue, rehabilitation, and care of animals across the sanctuary.
This is a leadership role, responsible for people, performance, compliance, and operational excellence. It is not a shift‑based retail position.
About the Role

- Lead and develop Shop Managers across all sites, providing coaching, direction, and accountability.

- Maintain high standards of health \& safety, safeguarding, and compliance.
- Produce monthly performance reports and updates for trustees.
- Support community engagement, promotions, and local partnerships.
- Provide short‑term leadership cover during Shop Manager annual leave or emergencies to maintain continuity — not routine shift cover.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience in multi‑site retail operations (charity retail desirable).
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
- Confidence in budgeting, reporting, and operational planning.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving ability.
- A calm, practical, solutions‑focused approach.
- A full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
- Ability to work independently and set high standards across multiple locations.
- Make a direct impact on the lives of animals in need.
- Lead a passionate team of staff and volunteers.
- Shape the future of Redgate’s retail operations.
- Be part of a supportive, mission‑driven charity with strong community roots.
