Retail Assistant - Zero hours

Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive shopping experience? We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and flexible Retail Assistant to join our team in Trentham Shopping Village on a zero hours contract.

About the Role

As a Retail Assistant, you will support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets while ensuring every customer receives exceptional service. You will play a key role in maintaining high store standards, managing stock, merchandising products, and contributing to the overall success of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers, providing outstanding customer service.


• Support the achievement of sales, conversion, and average transaction value (ATV) targets.


• Maintain accurate pricing, promotional displays, and stock levels.


• Process deliveries and book stock onto the system accurately.


• Assist with visual merchandising and ensure displays are attractive and commercially effective.


• Encourage customers to join the company mailing list.


• Participate in regular stocktakes and inventory checks.


• Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and wider team to achieve store objectives.


• Support opening and closing procedures when required.

• Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A positive, proactive, and team\-oriented approach.


• Ability to work independently and take initiative.


• Flexible and reliable with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
