Ensure the service is carried out according to standards set by the Resuscitation Committee, Trust Board and the Resuscitation Council (UK). The post holder will be responsible for supporting the organizing, planning, delivering and evaluating a safe and high quality resuscitation service within the Trust.

  • To act as Deputy for the Senior Resuscitation Officer

  • To support the effective utilisation of staff ensuring work arrangements are focussed on service need.

  • To in the absence of the Resuscitation Services Manager manage or the Senior Resuscitation Officer manage staff absence including annual leave and study leave, sickness and family leave.

  • To partake in maintaining individualised performance reviews and objective setting for direct reports, identify training and development needs including compliance to SaMT.

  • To ensure that the environment and staff comply with Health \& Safety, Infection Control \& COSHH regulations and that Trust Policies and procedures are followed correctly.

  • To ensure that incidents and accidents are reported and investigated according to Trust policy and that appropriate clinical risk management structures are in place.

  • To support any investigating into incidents in relation to resuscitation incidents, training and equipment.

  • To encourage staff and maintain highest standards of personal and professional conduct and performance, participating in the disciplinary procedure according to Trust policy.

  • To be aware of the broader Trust wide issues and resources, work as part of the managerial team in the nursing and patient experience SBU.

  • To support the delivery of the pay and non\-pay budget of the Resuscitation Training Department.

  • To participate in Trust Resuscitation Committee meetings and carry out action points as required.

  • In the absence of the Resuscitation Services manager represent the Trust at external Regional Resuscitation Officers Network meetings and other clinically relevant meetings and events
