*Fine Dining Country Retreat in the South Downs*
Standard weekly hours: 40 hours per week \- Wednesday to Sunday including Bank Holidays
Basic pay: £13\.00 per hour plus estimated gratuity from TRONC £2\.50 per hour minimum
Job Summary
Nestled in the heart of the South Downs, The Woodcote is a boutique country retreat offering refined dining and elegant guest accommodation.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Restaurant Supervisor to join our close\-knit team. This is a key role in welcoming guests, ensuring seamless service and upholding the high standards for which The Woodcote is known.
Key Responsibilities
- Extend a genuine and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring their experience begins with warmth and care.
- Oversee management of reservations and the booking system, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in the daily management of the Front of House spaces and team, including training and maintenance of service standards.
- Liaising with guests with professionalism and discretion.
- Support the smooth running of the restaurant and guest areas by managing exceptional cleanliness and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to ensure an impeccable flow of service.
- Oversee running of special events.
- Consistently uphold health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Previous hospitality experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication skills with a naturally warm and approachable manner.
- Confidence in multitasking and thriving under pressure in a busy, high\-end environment.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- A genuine passion for great service, food and guest experience.
