SUPERVISOR

We’re looking for a confident, experienced and hands\-on Supervisor to join our team at The Game Changer Kitchen.

We’re a busy, high\-volume café serving brunch, coffee and drinks, with private hires and catering alongside our everyday service.

We need someone who can genuinely take ownership of a shift, lead a team, manage the floor and make good decisions without needing to be constantly told what to do.

THE ROLE

As Supervisor, you’ll be one of the key people responsible for making sure the café runs smoothly during service.

You’ll be expected to:

• Take full ownership of your shift and confidently lead the team


• Manage the floor, bookings, table turns and customer flow


• Keep service moving with a strong sense of urgency and pace


• Ensure food and drinks are delivered quickly, accurately and to our standards


• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and FOH team


• Delegate tasks clearly and make sure they are actually completed


• Support, coach and hold team members accountable to our standards


• Lead by example, especially during busy periods


• Deal confidently with customer queries, complaints and difficult situations


• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation


• Monitor stock levels and reduce unnecessary waste and over\-ordering


• Complete opening, closing and daily operational checks


• Follow and reinforce food safety, hygiene and health \& safety procedures


• Support with food preparation, coffee and service when required


• Help train new team members and make sure they understand how we operate


• Identify problems during service and find solutions rather than simply reporting them


• Feed back ideas and suggestions to improve systems, service, customer experience and efficiency

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience working in a busy café, restaurant or hospitality environment


• Previous supervisory, team leader or senior hospitality experience


• Experience confidently leading a team during busy service


• Excellent communication and people\-management skills


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail


• The ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure


• A strong understanding of customer service and hospitality


• Good commercial awareness and an understanding that sales, GP, waste, labour and stock control matter


• Experience with coffee/barista service is highly desirable


• Knowledge of food safety and EHO requirements


• Confidence giving direction and holding people accountable


• A positive, professional attitude and the ability to contribute to a great team culture
