Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining high service standards and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of the restaurant.
- Manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and stock replenishment.
- Assist in training new staff members and providing ongoing development opportunities for team members.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure efficiency and uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety legislation.
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Extensive restaurant experience and serving.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good understanding of hospitality operations, including kitchen experience and hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
