About Butler Whites
Butler Whites is a modern British restaurant in a restored fruit warehouse on Humber Street. We focus on well\-executed food, confident service, and a relaxed but polished dining experience.
We are looking for a Front of House Supervisor who can sit at the heart of that – running shifts, supporting management, and helping to grow the team and the business.
You must have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role supporting restaurant/FOH management.
- Experience across both front and back of house operations.
- Excellent grasp of hospitality fundamentals – guest journey, service flow, standards.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and hold a team accountable during service.
- Strong organisational and admin skills – you like things to be clear, tidy and on track.
- Building and managing rotas in line with business needs.
- Understanding and helping to control labour costs.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee documentation.
- Managing daily operational paperwork and compliance.
- Understanding premises\-based paperwork, procedures and standards.
- Running shifts confidently in the absence of senior management.
- Handling customer issues professionally, maintaining service standards and protecting the guest experience.
- You will be comfortable moving between the floor, the host stand, the bar and the office – wherever the shift needs you most.
- Lead front of house shifts, ensuring smooth service and strong communication with the kitchen.
- Support the management team with day\-to\-day operations and decision\-making.
- Deliver and protect an excellent guest experience from door to bill.
- Manage team performance and standards during service – coaching, correcting and supporting.
- Assist with rota planning, labour control and staffing levels.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and HR documentation in line with company processes.
- Own parts of the administration and compliance, including daily checklists and premises paperwork.
- Be a visible, approachable point of contact for guests and staff on shift.
