Restaurant Manager – Maria's, Basildon Essex

£15\.00–£17\.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Full Time \| Immediate Start

This isn't a suit\-and\-clipboard management role...

We're looking for a hands\-on Restaurant Manager who leads from the front.

You'll be managing the team, driving standards and ensuring the café runs brilliantly—but you'll also be right there in the thick of it. Whether it's making coffees, serving customers, running food, helping in the kitchen, clearing tables or jumping on the till, you'll be part of the team every shift.

If you're the type of manager who prefers to lead by example rather than watch from the sidelines, you'll fit right in.

What we're looking for:

We're after someone with proven hospitality and management experience, ideally gained in a busy, fast\-paced restaurant or café environment.

You'll need to be:

• Assertive but approachable.


• Confident making decisions under pressure.


• Organised and calm during busy services.


• Passionate about customer service.


• Able to motivate a team while holding people accountable.


• Happy to get stuck into every aspect of the business—no job is beneath you.

Your role will include:

• Leading every shift and setting the standard.


• Making coffees and drinks.


• Serving customers and creating an excellent experience.


• Running food and clearing tables.


• Supporting the kitchen whenever needed.


• Operating the till.


• Managing staff performance, rotas and training.


• Ordering and liaising with suppliers


• Stock takes and managing wastage


• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health \& safety standards front of house and back of house.


• Solving problems quickly and keeping service running smoothly.
