Overview \-
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, ensure high\-quality guest experiences, manage financial performance, and maintain operational excellence. This role requires a balance of strong business acumen, people management skills, and a passion for hospitality; ensuring that our restaurant delivers exceptional service and high\-quality food. You will be responsible for leading a team, maintaining food safety standards, and creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities \-

Operations Management:

  • Oversee day\-to\-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to company standards.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures.

  • Monitor food and beverage quality, sanitation, and safety standards.

  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee ordering, inventory, and cost control.
Financial Management:
  • Drive profitability by analysing sales reports, controlling costs, and managing budgets.

  • Track and optimise labor, food, and beverage costs.

  • Forecast financial performance and implement strategies to meet revenue goals.
Team Leadership \& Development:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor front\-of\-house and back\-of\-house staff.

  • Foster a positive, team\-oriented culture with a focus on guest satisfaction.

  • Create staff schedules to balance labor efficiency with guest service.

  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
Guest Experience:
  • Ensure an exceptional dining experience by maintaining service excellence.

  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Build relationships with regular customers and the local community to encourage loyalty.
Compliance \& Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labour regulations.

  • Maintain licenses, permits, and certifications required for restaurant operations.

  • Implement and enforce workplace safety policies.
Qualifications \& Experience:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager within the restaurant or hospitality industry.

  • Strong financial management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  • Exceptional leadership and team\-building abilities.

  • Excellent communication, problem\-solving, and organisational skills.

  • In\-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation and labour laws.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team management and development.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
