Responsable Développement Commercial – Protéines \& Matières Premières Alimentaires Business Development Manager – Protein \& Food Commodities EM Export S.A.S. \| Lyon or Cholet \| Full\-time

Do you have a strong commercial instinct — and a drive to make deals happen?

At EM Export, we are looking for a commercially driven profile to work with buying and selling protein raw materials, by\-products, and fats \- and to develop new business within this scope.

You may be ready to run your own deals from day one, or grow into it. Either way, your role is to create value through buying, selling, and execution.

Your role

You will work closely with our experienced Sales Manager in France and commercial colleagues in the Group, and take responsibility based on your level and drive.

You will:

  • Buy and sell products within our core areas: meats, by\-products, and fats \- fresh and frozen

  • Drive sales across market segments including human consumption and pet food

  • Develop and expand relationships with customers and suppliers in France, Spain, Portugal, and Eastern Europe — while supporting the wider Danfond team in other markets

  • Negotiate prices, terms, and margins — and follow deals from first contact to delivery

  • Identify new opportunities and contribute to ongoing business development
If you are early in your career, you will start closer to execution and build responsibility over time. If you are more experienced, perhaps with your own trading ideas, you will take ownership faster.

Travel: approx. 40–50 days per year.

Your profile

  • 3–5 years\+ of experience in B2B food — ideally in trading, slaughterhouses, by\-products, or meat processing. Experience from refrigerated logistics also a possibility if you have the right commercial mindset and product understanding.

  • Strong commercial understanding, or a clear drive to develop it

  • A bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or a related field is preferred

  • Fluent in French and English (Spanish is a plus)

  • You take ownership and follow things through

  • You are comfortable using the latest IT tools, including AI
