Hours: 40 hours per week (4 x 10\-hour shifts)
Shift: 22:30 – 08:30
Job Type: Full\-time, Permanent

About the role

We're recruiting Waking Night Support Workers for a brand new 3\-bed children's home in Dartford, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

This is a great opportunity to join a new home from the start and help shape a safe, nurturing environment where young people can feel secure and thrive.

What you'll be doing

• Providing waking night support and carrying out regular welfare checks


• Keeping young people safe and responding calmly to incidents or distress during the night


• Using de\-escalation and positive behaviour support strategies


• Completing accurate records, incident reports and handovers


• Supporting with morning routines and helping young people get ready for school


• Following safeguarding procedures and Ofsted standards

What we're looking for

• Experience in children's residential care (EBD experience is a bonus)


• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, or willingness to work towards it


• A calm, patient and resilient approach


• Good written English for record keeping


• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)


• Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
