Residential Football Coach (Late July/August) - Train Effective Camps
Job Overview
Train Effective is looking for experienced residential football coaches to support our international football camps in London.
We are currently hiring for two remaining camp blocks: 26 July \- 8 August 2026 and 9 August \- 15 August 2026\. Coaches can apply for one or both blocks, but must be available for the full block they commit to.
This is a full\-time residential role, meaning coaches will sleep at the camp hotel and be part of the full player experience across training, matches, meals, evening activities, hotel supervision and daily camp life.
The role combines high\-quality football coaching with player care, behaviour management and on\-ground camp support. Coaches are expected to deliver professional training sessions, support match days, provide player feedback, represent the Train Effective brand, and help create a safe, memorable and high\-standard camp experience for every player.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support football training sessions aligned with Train Effective’s 4\-pillar model: technique, tactics, fitness and mentality.
- Support match days, including warm\-ups, team selection, tactical guidance, player minutes and post\-match feedback.
- Provide informal and formal player feedback, including support with 1:1 feedback meetings and scouting/report notes where required.
- Help create a positive, professional and high\-energy camp environment on and off the pitch.
- Support player supervision at the hotel, pitch, meals, activities, stadium tours and other camp locations.
- Help manage player behaviour, standards and punctuality in line with Train Effective’s code of conduct.
- Be visible and approachable around players, not just during training sessions.
- Assist with arrival/departure days, airport pickups, hotel check\-in, rooming logistics and player settling\-in where needed.
- Support evening activities, welcome ceremonies, closing ceremonies and player engagement moments.
- Wear Train Effective kit and represent the brand professionally at all times.
- Follow all safeguarding, first aid, emergency and welfare procedures.
- Work closely with the Camp Manager, Head Coach and operations team to ensure smooth daily delivery.
- At least UEFA B or equivalent coaching qualification preferred.
- Experience coaching youth players in academy, club, school, camp or elite development environments.
- Strong communicator with players aged roughly 10\-18\.
- Comfortable working in a residential camp environment with long days and shared team responsibilities.
- Reliable, energetic, professional and able to set high standards.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and willingness to follow strict child protection procedures.
- First aid and child protection certificates preferred.
- Bonus: experience at academy, professional club, international camp or residential programme level.
