Research associate (m/f/x) - Plant Biochemistry
The research interests of the Chair of Plant Biochemistry are fundamental processes involved in chloroplast differentiation and development, as well as the operational regulation of chloroplast functions. The advertised position is focused on protein import and its impact on chloroplast biogenesis and photosynthetic performance.

Scope: part-time

Your tasks:
- Generation of Arabidopsis mutant plant lines
- Investigation of phenotypes and plastid protein import characteristics
- Functional biochemical characterization of proteins and translocon protein complexes and their assembly
- Quantitative mass spectrometry
- Elucidation of the involvement of protein import in biotic and abiotic stress responses
- Writing publications and presenting results at (inter)national research conferences
- Participation in teaching responsibilities of the Chair
- Completed university degree (Master of Science) in Biology or Biochemistry
- Basic practical experience in biochemical, molecular biology or cell biology techniques
- Enjoyment of working with plants
- High level of motivation, keen to learn new skills and to work cooperatively in a team
