What You'll Do
As a Research Associate within BCG’s Global Research Organization, you will provide specialized research support and ensure delivery of accurate and insights\-rich projects with a special focus on Principal Investors \& Private Equity.
You should be comfortable working with databases and enthusiastic about learning and applying digital tools and capabilities to enhance analytical depth and strategic thinking. You will display your ability to synthesize data and draw insights in the context of the ‘research ask’, accurately. In this role, you will be expected to understand the deal environment and how investors evaluate opportunities supporting the PIPE practice area. Over time, you will regularly engage with seniors in the team to gain exposure to our casework and client teams.
BCG’s PIPE Practice Area works with the world’s largest investment firms, serving six client asset classes: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Infrastructure \& Real Estate Funds, Family Offices, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Plans. Likewise, PIPE topics cut across not only these asset classes, but also across industries (e.g., Health Care, Consumer, Technology, etc.) and sub\-topics (e.g., Tech Capital, Private Credit, Environmental, Social and Governance, etc.

Working closely with more senior team members, you will engage with Internal clients daily with the aim to understand, scope and deliver accurate, timely and relevant data and information
- You’re an organized thinker who commits to learning research analysis including: methods, databases and tools, synthesis \& packaging
- You will have strong attention to detail by clarifying request objectives under direct supervision and discussing the most appropriate and timely research approach. You will do this whilst communicating directly with BCG stakeholders to evaluate and recommend the most efficient and successful research strategy per project
- Working closely with fellow colleagues, you will approach all interactions with the highest level of quality and customer service. You will also guide outsourcing partners in their research analysis and do quality assurance
- You will welcome the opportunity to grow and learn in an apprenticeship culture where you can quickly build and expand your research knowledge base to the next level
- You will be a clear and confident communicator, able to deliver messages in a concise manner with a positive disposition and you will help build a loyal customer base for GRO
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in economics, business administration, finance, engineering, data science, or a related analytical field)
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience, with a demonstrated interest in private equity and infrastructure investor topics; prior experience in a financial setting (e.g., internships or working student roles, ideally in private equity) is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, including a solid foundation in financial analysis
- Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini); basic exposure to Python or similar tools for research support, task automation, or data processing is a plus
- Professional certification in AI/ML or Generative AI, or equivalent hands\-on experience, is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in business topics and strong structured problem\-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a collaborative, international team environment
- Fluency in English required; conversational Spanish preferred; French/Italian is a plus
