Rental Co-ordinator

Hexagon is looking for an organised and customer\-focused Rental Coordinator to join our Rental Operations team. It's a hands\-on role supporting the day\-to\-day running of our commercial vehicle rental fleet and responsible for looking after our rental customers.

The role suits someone who is well organised, comfortable managing several priorities at once, and who has a commercial eye for keeping a rental fleet utilised.

The Role

Reporting to the Rental Business Manager, the Rental Coordinator supports the day\-to\-day running of our commercial vehicle rental operation. You'll work across the full rental cycle, preparing vehicles for hire, handling check\-in and check\-out, looking after customers throughout the rental, and helping turn vehicles around quickly when they come back, a key part of the role is helping keep the fleet productive. You'll also keep compliance paperwork accurate and up to date, support the wider Rental team, and contribute to our utilisation and revenue targets.

What you'll be doing:

• Managing fleet utilisation: making sure vehicles aren't standing idle when they could be out on hire, and that vehicles coming back off hire are turned around quickly so they're ready to re\-rent.


• Handling the check\-in and check\-out of rental vehicles, including thorough vehicle inspections.


• Acting as a main point of contact for rental customers, dealing with queries, resolving issues and keeping service levels high.


• Coordinating the day\-to\-day operation with the wider Rental team: vehicle availability, scheduling, deliveries and collections.


• Completing and maintaining compliance paperwork such as rental agreements, compliance documents and drivers' hours, ensuring they are accurately filed and scanned into our systems.


• Running regular audits of compliance paperwork and fleet status to maintain accuracy.


• Identifying and managing operational risks, including health and safety matters.


• Contributing to monthly and annual targets, with fleet utilisation a key measure.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• At least 2 years' experience in the commercial vehicle rental industry.


• Experience managing customer relationships, with the ability to build and maintain them over the long term.


• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.


• Clear written and verbal communication.


• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
