RE Teacher – Secondary School (Bexley)

Location: Bexley, South East London
Contract: Long-Term Supply or Permanent
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

The Role

As an RE Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing targeted feedback

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities

  • Participate in parents’ evenings and school events

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching RE within a UK secondary school setting (including placements for ECTs)

  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of religious and ethical topics

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills

  • Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
