Relationship Manager (Theatre, Performing Arts & Touring)

Full-time, 37 hours per week

Permanent Contract

Grade D: Salary Range - £46,842 - £52,641

Location: Any of the Arts Council of Wales offices (Cardiff, Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen) with Hybrid Working

Our benefits include 30 days annual leave, 2.5 privilege days, flexible working hours/pattern, cycle to work scheme and a final salary pension.

About this role

As Relationship Manager – Theatre, Performing Arts & Touring, you’ll play a key role in supporting and developing Wales’s theatre and performing arts sector.

Working closely with the Head of Theatre, Performing Arts & Touring, you’ll:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Wales’s theatre and performing arts communities

  • Support the delivery of theatre and touring strategies, including the English Language Theatre Review

  • Act as a key contact for theatre makers, organisations and funded partners

  • Attend performances, festivals and events across Wales

  • Gather insight and intelligence to inform sector development and decision-making

  • Advocate for Welsh theatre and performance across a range of contexts
About you

We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of the theatre and performing arts sector in Wales and a passion for supporting artists and organisations.

In the role, you will:

  • Build trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Communicate confidently and act as an advocate for the sector

  • Work across a broad range of theatrical forms and practices

  • Bring insight, curiosity and a collaborative approach

  • Be visible and engaged, attending events and connecting with people across Wales
Welsh language

We work in both Welsh and English.

Welsh language skills are essential for this role. You will need to be able to communicate in both English and Welsh in meetings, individually and in public.
