Rehabilitation Assistant / Support Worker

If so, we are looking to grow Team Steps, where you will be caring for clients in their own homes and developing your skills as a rehabilitation support worker through our client specific training programmes \- both online and in a bespoke classroom\-based setting. When working independently with one of our clients, you will never be without assistance from us \- thanks to our office team, who run a 24/7 on\-call service.

Our client is a gentleman in his 50s who suffered an acquired brain injury a number of years ago. He lives in his own home in Cheltenham, and requires 2:1 support, he requires support with most daily activities, but also loves getting out and about and has a particular interest in nature and wildlife. He also loves watching sports, Top Gear and dog training programmes on TV.

This role is based in Cheltenham, and surrounding areas \- full\-time hours are available with an option of overtime.

*Responsibilities will include*

· Arranging and supporting to attend appointments

· Manual handling and hoisting

· General upkeep of the property

· Administering medication

· Accessing the community

. Assisting with the client's programme of rehabilitation

. Personal care where applicable

*Requirements for the position*

· Acquired Brain Injury experience is preferred

· Six months health and social care experience is preferable; however, transferrable skills and personal experience will also be considered.
