We’re an independent small animal practice in Liverpool looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a small, grounded team. This role is about safe, sustainable nursing. Not rushing discharges or firefighting a chaotic diary.

The Role:

We need consistent 9am–6pm clinical nursing cover across the week. How that’s structured is flexible. We’re open to:

4 longer days
A 9\-day fortnight (long weekend every other week)
Or a straightforward 5\-day week

The priority is stability and proper cover — not burning someone out.

What day\-to\-day actually looks like:

• Nurse consults (post\-ops, weight clinics, second vaccines, etc.)


• Proper theatre nursing with monitoring — not being pulled away mid\-anaesthetic


• Schedule 3 procedures within your competence


• In\-house lab work and inpatient care


• Time to do admissions and discharges properly


• Protected admin time

Consults are 15 minutes as standard. Diaries are capped. We don’t routinely overbook and we don’t expect you to “just squeeze one more in”.
