Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the necessary skills to provide high\-quality nursing support in a veterinary setting. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, hands\-on experience, and excellent communication skills to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and their owners.

Duties

• Provide nursing care to animals in accordance with veterinary protocols and standards.


• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures.


• Perform animal restraint and catheterisation as needed.


• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.


• Conduct laboratory tests and assist in diagnostic imaging, including X\-rays.


• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.


• Monitor vital signs and overall health of animals during recovery.


• Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and wellness practices.


• Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the clinic environment using aseptic techniques.


• Working Monday \- Friday 8\.30am \- 6\.00pm

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.


• Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and husbandry.


• Comfortable with routine anaesthesia and inpatient care


• Good communicator with clients \& colleagues


• Experience in handling various species.


• Knowledge of dental terminology related to veterinary care.


• Skills in laboratory procedures and critical care for animals.


• Proficiency in animal restraint techniques and basic grooming practices.
