At PDSA, you'll enjoy a varied and rewarding caseload, developing your nursing skills across many areas of practice while making a genuine difference to pets and their owners every day. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll work alongside experienced veterinary professionals in a fast\-paced hospital environment, gaining exposure to a wide range of medical, surgical and emergency cases.
You'll play a key role in delivering high\-quality patient care across:
- Inpatient nursing and patient monitoring.
- Theatre support and Schedule 3 procedures where appropriate.
- Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics.
- Diagnostic imaging, including radiography support.
- Pharmacy, dispensary and medication management.
- Emergency and urgent patient care.
- Client education and promoting responsible pet ownership.
About you
We are looking for a Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a supportive team while delivering excellent patient and client care in a busy hospital environment.
To be successful, you'll:
- Be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with RCVS registration.
- Have experience delivering high\-quality patient and client care.
- Take a pragmatic, efficient and welfare\-focused approach to clinical decision\-making.
- Be confident, adaptable and efficient when working in a fast\-paced environment.
- Be computer literate and comfortable using clinical systems.
- Enjoy collaborating with colleagues and sharing knowledge to support team development.
- Have 12 months' UK small animal practice experience (desirable).
We recognise the importance of work–life balance and have a rota designed to support it:
- Full\-time role: 7\.5 hours per day
- Weekday hours: Monday to Friday, shifts between 8:30am and 6:15pm
- Weekend working: Required on a 1\-in\-7 rota basis
- Weekend shifts: Either 9:00am–6:00pm or 10:30am–6:00pm

You'll work alongside experienced veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and support colleagues with varied clinical interests, giving you access to a rich pool of knowledge and expertise.
Our Pet Hospitals are well\-equipped and include separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in\-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
