Location: Orchard Vets Ltd, Glastonbury
Hours: Part\-time (Mondays and Fridays), including a 1 in 5 weeknight and 1 in 6 weekend on\-call rota
Salary: £13\.80 – £15\.50 per hour depending on experience (out\-of\-hours and weekend duties paid in addition to salary)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team at Orchard Vets Ltd, an independent, purpose\-built, forward\-thinking practice located in the heart of Glastonbury.

We are a first\-opinion practice, accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, and an approved nurse training practice. We are passionate about supporting career development and actively encourage ongoing CPD and progression.

The Role

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring anaesthesia and providing high\-quality peri\-operative care


• Working closely with our veterinary surgeons to deliver excellent care for surgical and medical cases


• Running effective and engaging nurse clinics


• Collecting and processing laboratory samples


• Assisting with stock management, infection control and general practice maintenance


• Supporting student veterinary nurses alongside our clinical supervisors


• Supporting our reception team when necessary
