Registered Nurse Colposcopist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Colposcopist to join our specialised healthcare team. Duties

• Conduct colposcopy examinations with precision and sensitivity, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure


• Administer prescribed medications and topical agents as part of diagnostic or treatment procedures


• Provide comprehensive patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and follow\-up care


• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalised care plans tailored to individual patient needs


• Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards and clinical guidelines at all times


• Record detailed clinical notes and update patient records in the electronic health system efficiently


• Support ongoing research and quality improvement initiatives related to women's health services

Experience

• Registered Nurse qualification recognised within the UK, with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)


• Current BSCCP registration/accreditation for Colposcopists


• Proven experience in patient care, particularly within gynaecology or women's health settings


• Knowledge of human anatomy relevant to cervical health and pathology


• Competence in medication administration, including topical treatments utilised during colposcopy procedures


• Prior experience performing or assisting with colposcopy procedures is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to reassure patients and explain complex information clearly


• Organised, detail\-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining accurate clinical documentation
