Registered Nurse - Adult Bladder & Bowel Service
About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join an Adult Bladder & Bowel Service across 2 clinic locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with specialist experience in continence care, bladder and bowel management, and urological assessments.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up care for adult patients attending bladder and bowel clinics. You will work autonomously while maintaining excellent clinical documentation and communication with patients, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality assessment, treatment planning, and follow-up care for adult patients attending bladder and bowel clinics. You will work autonomously while maintaining excellent clinical documentation and communication with patients, GPs, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities • Conduct new patient and follow-up clinic appointments.
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and clinical examinations.
- Complete and maintain accurate clinical records on the SystmOne (S1) patient management system.
- Produce detailed assessment and outcome letters for patients and GPs.
- Request prescriptions via GP correspondence where appropriate.
- Obtain, process, and arrange laboratory submission of clinical samples as required.
- Make referrals to other healthcare services where clinically indicated.
- Prepare and complete discharge reports.
- Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based continence care.
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 7 patients.
- Bladder scanning
- Catheter management
- Trial Without Catheter (TWOC) procedures
- Bowel management
- Rectal examinations
- Faecal incontinence assessment and treatment
- Prostate-related assessments and management
- Adult bladder and bowel services
- Independent clinical assessment and decision-making
- Completing a daily data capture report for each day worked.
- Submitting a daily service delivery report.
- Producing additional reports for DNA (Did Not Attend) appointments and urgent patient cases where required.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation at all times.
- Collecting and returning Trust equipment as required.
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Reporting any faults or issues promptly in line with Trust procedures.
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Experience working within community, continence, bladder and bowel, or urology services.
- Ability to work independently and manage a structured clinical caseload.
- Competent in clinical documentation and electronic patient record systems, ideally SystmOne (S1).
- Professional, organised, and patient-focused approach.
