Registered Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of a care facility specialising in senior and specialised care services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare management, with extensive knowledge of assisted living, dementia, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with disabilities. This pivotal role involves leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Duties
- Manage and supervise the day\-to\-day operations of the care facility, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of healthcare professionals, including carers, nurses, and support staff.
- Oversee patient and resident care plans, including medication administration, case management, and specialised programmes such as dementia or hospice care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, legal requirements, and organisational policies.
- Coordinate staff rotas, training sessions (including management of internships), and performance reviews.
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to facilitate seamless communication and personalised care delivery.
- Monitor clinical procedures such as anatomy knowledge application, laboratory procedures (if applicable), and medical imaging processes when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation relating to patient care, incident reports, and regulatory audits.
- Organise ongoing staff training programmes focused on senior care, Alzheimer's disease management, working with children or individuals with disabilities as needed.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages continuous improvement in patient outcomes and staff development.
- Proven experience in assisted living environments or nursing homes with a focus on senior or specialised care such as dementia or hospice settings.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with previous team management or supervisory roles within healthcare settings.
- Extensive knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration, case management, and anatomy fundamentals.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in toddler/childcare environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical procedures such as laboratory work or medical imaging is desirable but not essential.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to healthcare management in the UK healthcare system.
- Previous experience overseeing compliance in environments involving Alzheimer's or other cognitive impairments is highly valued.
Pay: £40,000\.00\-£45,000\.00 per year
