Registered General Nurse - Days (Part Time)
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered General Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high\-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well\-being while adhering to best practices and protocols. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of treatment plans. Previous experience in a Elderly care and nursing home environment is essential.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Ensure that service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
- Undertake the care planning activities for service users to meet changing physical, psychological and social needs, taking into consideration privacy, dignity, personal choice and informed consent.
- Have experience working of digital care planning systems \- Person centered Software (PCS)
- Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional and regulatory requirements
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
- A valid nursing qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not essential. Candidate will be required to have clinical experience / practice completed.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of nursing care.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning within the nursing profession.
This position will require the candidate to be flexible in covering Days \- all rotas are planned in advance.
