Regional Manager – Care Home

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per year \+ Travel Allowance

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and compassionate Regional Manager to provide leadership, support and strategic direction across our three established care homes in Halifax and Middlesbrough.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual who is passionate about high\-quality care, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance and developing outstanding teams.

You will work closely with our Registered Managers, Deputy Managers, Quality Leads, administrative teams and Directors to drive continuous improvement, strengthen operational performance and enhance the quality of life of the people we support.

Our Homes

Eden Court Care Home – Halifax
A 100\-bed care home comprising three units, providing a combination of nursing and residential care.

Stainton Lodge – Middlesbrough
A 73\-bed care home providing specialist support, including mental health and challenging dementia services.

Stainton Way – Middlesbrough
A 65\-bed residential care home located on the same premises as Stainton Lodge, operating under a separate CQC registration.

The Role

As Regional Manager, you will:

• Provide hands\-on leadership and support to Registered Managers across all three homes.


• Work with Home Managers to improve care quality, clinical outcomes and resident experience.


• Promote a positive culture centred around compassion, dignity, safety and high\-quality care.


• Lead and support the development of strong, motivated and effective management teams.


• Work alongside Home Managers, Deputy Managers and Quality Leads to develop and deliver robust action plans following internal reviews, audits and external inspections.


• Drive continuous improvement and ensure homes remain compliant with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.


• Build and maintain effective relationships with commissioners, healthcare professionals and other external stakeholders.


• Support the delivery of quality, compliance and clinical initiatives across the region.


• Work closely with Directors to support the company's strategic growth and development.


• Help prepare the organisation for future acquisitions and new service development.


• Act as a visible and supportive leader across all locations.

Travel \& Working Pattern

This is a regional role and regular travel between our sites is an essential part of the position.

You will be required to spend approximately:

• 2 days per week at our Halifax location


• 2 days per week at our Middlesbrough locations


• 1 day per week work from home

Additional travel to other locations may be required as the business grows and new homes are acquired.

The successful candidate should also be flexible to attend a home during an evening or weekend when operational circumstances require it.

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced senior care professional who can lead from the front while building positive relationships with managers, staff, residents, families and external stakeholders.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 10 years' experience managing a care home in a nursing home setting.


• Proven experience of leading, developing and motivating strong teams.


• Demonstrable experience of improving care quality and operational performance.


• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, standards and relevant legislation.


• Experience working with inspections, audits, compliance and quality improvement plans.


• Excellent organisational, planning and problem\-solving skills.


• Exceptional communication and relationship\-building skills.


• Experience working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.


• Sound business acumen, including experience managing budgets and financial performance.


• Willingness to undertake the responsibilities of Nominated Individual with CQC and, where required, act as a Registered Manager.


• Flexibility to travel between our locations and attend outside normal working hours when required.


• Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work


• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel reliably between our locations.

Desirable

• Registered Nurse qualification with an active NMC PIN.


• Experience supporting services through CQC inspections and improvement programmes.
