The Role
As a Regional Engineering Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the performance, development, and operational effectiveness of the engineering function within your region.
You will lead, support, and develop engineering teams to achieve business objectives, maintain customer satisfaction, and consistently deliver against contractual service level agreements. Working closely with senior leadership and cross\-functional departments, you'll help shape operational strategy while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a regional team of Senior Field Service Engineers and Field Service Engineers
- Ensure effective resource planning and staffing levels to meet operational demands and service commitments
- Drive engineering performance, machine availability, and customer satisfaction across the region
- Monitor, manage, and report regional KPIs to senior leadership teams
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and employee engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with Engineering Quality teams to improve operational processes and working procedures
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for engineering teams and internal stakeholders
- Support new product introductions, prototype testing, and development of repair methodologies
- Manage regional budgets and promote cost\-effective engineering operations
- Work closely with supply chain partners to ensure the highest standards of parts and service delivery
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Attend customer sites and new installations to support operational excellence and service development
- Contribute to national projects and wider business improvement initiatives as required.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience managing engineering or field service teams
- Strong background in engineering operations, service delivery, or technical field services
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and operational performance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem\-solving abilities
- Ability to analyse performance data and implement effective improvement strategies
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the region as required.
- Experience within ATM, financial technology, cash management, or related service industries
- In\-depth knowledge of ATM hardware and associated technologies
- Electromechanical engineering qualification (Level 5 or above)
- Previous experience leading large, geographically dispersed engineering teams
- Experience within a service\-level agreement (SLA) driven environment.
