We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking local authority to recruit a Regeneration Project Manager to join their high-performing Growth, Communities & Housing service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced regeneration professional to shape and deliver ambitious place-based projects, helping to unlock growth, tackle inequality, and drive inclusive economic development.
The Role
Sitting within the Inclusive Economy & Communities Team, you will play a key role in leading and delivering regeneration initiatives that support thriving communities and sustainable economic growth.
This is a highly collaborative, delivery-focused role where you will work across stakeholders including local businesses, community groups, delivery partners, and funding bodies to bring complex projects to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of regeneration and place-based projects, from feasibility through to implementation
- Drive forward initiatives that unlock sites and enable development, including complex infrastructure challenges and brownfield regeneration
- Manage and coordinate partnerships with consultants, developers, and public sector agencies
- Identify and secure external funding opportunities (e.g. Homes England), including bid writing and programme management
- Support delivery of the Inclusive Economy Delivery Plan, ensuring projects align with corporate priorities
- Engage with local communities and VCFSE organisations to ensure inclusive, place-led outcomes
- Provide leadership and guidance across project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery
We are looking for an experienced regeneration professional with a proven track record in delivering projects within an urban, public sector environment.
You will bring:
- Strong experience in regeneration, development, or infrastructure-led projects
- Proven ability to manage complex schemes, including unlocking challenging sites
- Experience in public sector funding, including securing and managing grants (e.g. Homes England)
- A strong understanding of place-based working, inclusive growth, and community development
- Experience working with local authorities, developers, and external consultants
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership working skills
