Recovery Worker
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Recovery Coordinator or Recovery Worker with strong substance misuse experience to join a busy service and support people through their recovery journey.
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (2 days between Monday to Friday 15 hours per week, you can choose which days to work)Dates: ASAP (Temporary Contract, however it might be ongoing)Location: Thetford, NorfolkPay Rate: £18/hr - £23/hr depending on the number of years' experience
Your new role
As a Recovery Coordinator, you will deliver a range of evidence-based interventions to support service users throughout their treatment journey. You will work collaboratively with clinical and safeguarding teams to ensure each individual receives a safe, holistic and person-centred service.
Key responsibilities:Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and throughout their treatment and recovery journeyCompleting screening, assessments, recovery planning and onward referralsHelping to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm for service users and the wider communitySupporting service users with social reintegration, recovery, resilience and self-determinationPromoting involvement from service users, carers and the wider communityWorking in partnership with internal teams, external agencies and other professionalsProviding advocacy and supporting access to partnership services where requiredDelivering person-centred support in a safe, respectful and professional manner
To be considered, you will need:Previous experience working in substance misuse servicesIt is essential that the candidate can drive as there will be an expectation to cover an outreach clinic.A good understanding of recovery planning, risk, safeguarding and harm reductionStrong communication and engagement skillsConfidence working with service users with complex needsThe ability to work collaboratively with professionals, services and external partnersGood organisational skills and the ability to manage your caseload effectivelyA compassionate, non-judgemental and person-centred approach
