About the Role
Excel Housing Solutions is seeking a Recovery Support Worker to join our expanding team. The successful applicant will work in partnership with statutory agencies to reduce the risk of homelessness, health issues, and offending. You will be providing support to clients. Our goal is to offer support to optimise positive outcomes for clients and minimise evictions, by using a restorative approach that focuses on resolving conflicts and fostering positive relationship.
Role Purpose – What you’ll do:
The Recovery Support Worker will provide compassionate, trauma\-informed, and gender\-responsive support to women with lived experience of homelessness and rough sleeping. Many of the women supported will present with multiple and complex needs, including mental health challenges, substance misuse, and experiences of domestic and sexual abuse.
The role focuses on empowering women to move towards safety, stability, recovery, and independence, using a strengths\-based, psychologically informed approach that recognises the impact of trauma and adversity.
This job role is mainly based in Preston, however you may be required to visit other sites.
