Receptionist/Telephonist

168 Medical Group is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and flexible individual to join our team.

Working in a busy surgery and office environment, you will need to be able to work as part of a team as well as with your own initiative.

JOB SUMMARY

Working as a member of the team you will provide a high standard of support within the Practice. You will be expected to use reasoning and judgement skills to make appropriate decisions and effectively manage multiple tasks and systems.

• Main Duties:

· Answering incoming calls, taking messages, and transferring calls to the correct department.

· Front Desk Reception: Greeting visitors, clients, or guests, and managing visitor security protocols.

· Telephone/message patients to arrange bookings as per the clinician request

· Broad identification of urgent requests e.g. poorly babies and young children

· Facilitate patients using the askmyGP system for the first time

· Manage ID verification

· Be aware of data confidentiality

· Assist the Reception team answer the phones during busy times

· Complete tasks sent by the GPs

· Use all available third\-party organisations, navigate patients to the most appropriate clinician/service.

· Other administrative tasks as appropriate to the role

This is an evolving role.

We would look to develop the roles further as individuals get established so further responsibilities may be applied with additional training and guidance.
