Receptionist \- *Part Time, Contract Role*

Role Objective: A first point of contact for visitors to our premises, the Receptionist assists both visitors and members with their queries in person and on the telephone, ensuring a professional, efficient front\-of\-house experience that supports service delivery.

About the Role: Our Reception team are central to delivering a professional and welcoming experience at the Bar of Ireland. Reporting to the Estates Manager and supported by the Lead Receptionist, this role plays a key role in ensuring the smooth day\-to\-day operation of front\-of\-house services while supporting members, visitors and internal teams in a busy and varied environment.

Reception Services

  • Meet and greet; be the first point of contact when members or visitors enter The Bar of Ireland premises.

  • Deliver comprehensive reception services; query management, maintenance of visitor logs for Health and Safety purposes, key management and lost and found as appropriate.

  • Answer and direct all incoming calls, checking voicemail and email for messages to be forwarded onto the appropriate people or departments.

  • Liaise with DX, the independent specialised delivery service, located in Bar of Ireland premises, to co\-ordinate incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.

  • Co\-ordinate meeting room bookings and teleconferencing.

  • Retain knowledge of Fire Alarm, Intruder alarms and CCTV.
Tenant Management
  • Issue and renew building access badges as appropriate.

  • Support the withdrawal and re\-instatement of telephone and voicemail services for tenants as required.

  • Maintain a log for building faults reported by tenants.
T.E.A.M. Core Competencies

Person Specification

*A suitable candidate for this role will have;*

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in reception services, front\-desk, and/or customer\-facing role in a professional environment,

  • Experience managing high volumes of calls, in person and email enquiries.

  • Comprehensive IT skills with prior experience working with O365 suite,

  • Experience using switchboards, visitor log protocols and building access systems,

  • Excellent attention to detail, interest in continuous improvement and strong organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to handle a busy, varied workload,

  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to tailor communications as necessary,

  • Experience within a member organisation or other professional services organisation an advantage,

  • Team player who actively contributes towards shared department goals.
Role Type, Salary and Benefits

This is a part time, specified purpose contract role with an expected duration of two years.

The successful candidate will work onsite with working hours planned to be delivered over Monday to Wednesday between the hours of 9am – 5\.30pm.

The hourly rate for this role will be €14\.76 per hour, with benefits including:
