Receptionist - Full Time

We are looking for an engaged, positive, friendly, hard\-working and resilient individual to join our Patient Services (Reception) team at Cheadle Medical Practice (SK8 1BH) and Alvanley Family Practice (SK6 1ND).

You must be able to work from either site on different days, so access to a car and a full clean driving licence are strongly desired for this role.

It's an incredibly busy time in General Practice \- patient expectations are higher than ever, so we need someone who can work at a fast pace while delivering excellent customer service.

It's a very difficult role, including dealing with some challenging patients, but it can be very rewarding to know that your work has improved the healthcare and lives of patients across our local community. You won't be bored!

This will include a mixture of 'early' (08:00 start) and 'late' (19:00 / 20:00 finish) shifts.

Person Specification

Qualifications \- Desirable

• GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent (or 4\-9\), including English and Maths

• Works effectively independently and as a member of a team


• Flexible approach to meet service needs and ensure a stakeholder focused response


• Self\-motivated and proactive


• Continued commitment to improve skills and ability in new areas of work


• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills including excellent use of English

• Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment


• Evidence of extremely high levels of resilience


• General office skills \- photocopying, scanning, shredding


• Awareness of Data Protection Act and need for confidentiality of information


• Attention to detail \- able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with team members, patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals


• Commitment to won continuing personal development and an ability to support others to develop and progress


• Computer literate

• Experience of working in a medical or primary care setting

• Commit to a DBS check


• Able to commit to working from either site (Cheadle Medical Practice, SK8 1BH; Alvanley Family Practice, SK6 1ND), and as such, an applicant with access to a car and a full clean driving licence is strongly desired.

Pay: £12\.60 per hour
