About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and organised Receptionist/Administrator to join our welcoming team.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing an excellent patient experience. You will support the smooth running of the practice through a combination of reception and administrative duties, ensuring patients receive a professional, helpful and efficient service at all times.
This is a busy and rewarding role that would suit someone who enjoys working with people, has strong communication skills and can remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.
- Booking and managing appointments both in person and via telephone and online systems.
- Managing patient requests received through EMIS, NHS Mail and Anima.
- Registering new patients and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Processing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including scanning and filing documents.
- Providing administrative support to clinical and non\-clinical teams.
- Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues and external healthcare providers.
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Supporting the wider team with day\-to\-day operational tasks.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Be confident using IT systems and learning new software.
- Be organised and able to work accurately under pressure.
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible and professional attitude.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Have a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Working Hours
Current working pattern:
- Monday: 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:30am to 7:00pm
