Receptionist/Administrator
South Hornchurch Medical Practice is looking to recruit a part\-time receptionist/administrator to join our friendly practice.
The role is part\-time, 20 hours a week. The rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience. Previous experience of working in a GP surgery is desired but not essential. Training will be given to successful candidates. Candidates must be flexible to cover sickness and holiday absence.
The ideal candidate will be required to be well motivated, efficient, remain calm under pressure, whilst multi\-tasking in a busy reception environment. You will possess good people skills and have a kind and caring nature.
Reception responsibilities include assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way whilst projecting a positive and friendly image to patients both in person and via the telephone; offering general assistance to the practice team and undertaking wide\-ranging administrative duties to assist in the day to day running of the practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team.
Repeat prescription duties include the processing of prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with practice guidelines.
