At a glance, your role is to deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Duties include:
- interacting politely with guests \- greeting them, saying 'thank you' and 'goodbye'
- maintaining office administration in line with company policies and general data protection regulations (GDPR)
- carrying out administrative tasks, reservations, cancellations and no\-shows, managing check\-ins, check\-outs and aftercare, providing reports as necessary (eg for housekeeping or management tasks)
- checking that all bedrooms/conference rooms and all other associated areas under your responsibility are cleaned and maintained within guidelines
- conducting regular security checks, including fire safety checks, throughout your shift, reporting any issues to your line manager
- reporting any security issues, safety hazards, accidents, incidents and/or maintenance issues to the manager on duty
- being responsible for evacuation, in the case of emergency, liaising with guests and the emergency services
- completing required induction, role\-specific and ongoing refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement
Most Wetherspoon team leaders and managers started in the kitchen or behind the bar.
