Reach Truck Driver/Warehouse Operative

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating reach trucks to handle materials, manage stock levels, and support efficient warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a fast\-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate reach trucks to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse


• Manage stock levels using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software


• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of materials


• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform minor repairs or report maintenance needs


• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation of stock


• Support warehouse operations by performing manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting when necessary


• Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to health and safety standards


• Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse workflow and meet operational targets

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks, particularly reach trucks, in a warehouse setting


• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting


• Ability to handle materials safely, including heavy lifting and manual handling skills


• Good understanding of shipping \& receiving processes and documentation requirements


• Experience in warehouse management, materials handling, and logistics operations is desirable


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management
