Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

You’ll join a fast\-paced utilities contract at the heart of a large\-scale water infrastructure programme, where your commercial input will directly support live delivery and help shape key decisions across multiple workstreams. This is a great opportunity to build broad commercial experience, work closely with operational and client teams, and play a visible role in delivering essential services for customers and communities.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the commercial management and administration of a live utilities contract, including cost reporting, forecasting and performance analysis

  • Assessing and managing subcontractor accounts, ensuring accurate valuation and timely resolution of commercial issues

  • Supporting the preparation and submission of applications for payment and client reporting

  • Identifying value opportunities, cost efficiencies and opportunities to improve margin and commercial processes

  • Working closely with operational teams to support delivery and ensure robust commercial control across the contract

  • Clear career progression opportunities, with support to develop the role towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level
What you’ll bring
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within utilities/infrastructure or similar environment

  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and general contract awareness

  • Strong Excel skills and good understanding of cost reporting and forecasting

  • Experience of subcontract management and commercial administration

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders

  • A tenacious, self\-motivated approach, with the confidence to take ownership

  • Good time management skills, with a proactive mindset and the ability to prioritise effectively and execute at pace
