Quantity Surveyor (Associate Director)

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy with the recruitment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Extremely exciting time to join a large company that has recently partnered with another major company.

There are 3 roles available - Experienced QS or Senior QS or Assistant Director QS.

Permanent position. This role will be based in Glasgow / Hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio


• Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets and feasibility studies


• Manage procurement exercises, tender documentation and tender analysis


• Produce cost reports, valuations and payment recommendations


• Maintain effective financial control throughout each project


• Lead value engineering, risk management and change-control processes


• Negotiate and agree final accounts


• Manage projects from initial feasibility through to completion


• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors


• Mentor junior surveyors and support their professional development


• Contribute to business development and help secure new opportunities

• MRICS Chartered status


• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline


• Approximately five years' post-qualification experience within a consultancy


• Strong pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying experience


• Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts


• Experience delivering projects across a range of sectors


• Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder-management skills


• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability


• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities


• Proactive, collaborative and organised approach


• Full UK driving licence


• Public-sector project experience would be advantageous but is not essential
