Quality Technician \- Weekend Shift

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician who provides Quality engineering support to the assigned Manufacturing area or Project. The Quality Technician will identify and execute on continuous improvement within their area of responsibility.

\*This role is initially a 7 month contract\*

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Provide quality oversight/input to the manufacturing area to ensure process and product quality requirements such as data integrity, product segregation, etc. are adhered to.

  • Identify and execute initiatives which improve process controls and overall effectiveness of the Quality System.

  • Lead and/or support process and/or product investigations providing formal structured approach to identify root causes, establish corrective actions and execute prevention plans.

  • Support the execution of validations within assigned area.

  • Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon quality system and regulatory requirements.

  • Support preparation and participate in external audits by Notified Bodies and Health Authorities, where necessary.
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
  • Certificate or Diploma in related discipline Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline.

  • Two years technical/manufacturing experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical industry.

  • Knowledge of FDA, medical device, GMP and validation requirements

  • Knowledge of Statistics Skills: Problem solving, statistical analysis and word processing.

  • Technical writing and people skills.
