We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join the team. The role is full time 37\.5 hours a week on a permanent contract, working Monday – Friday onsite office based.

What we are looking for

As a Quality Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and compliance with industry regulations. You play a key role in managing and optimising quality control processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle – from material inspection to final product testing – ensuring that each product meets both customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will lead quality initiatives through audits and analysing production processes which will address potential issues proactively, reduce waste, prevent errors and minimising rework. You will work closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure that we strive for continuous improvement through enhanced product quality and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Compliance Oversight – Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and certifications including ISO 9001, 14001 and BRCGS. Stay updated on quality\-related changes in manufacturing practices.

  • Quality Control Processes – Design and implement quality control processes throughout the production cycle. Develop inspection criteria and testing procedures for raw materials and finished products.

  • Audits and Inspections. Conduct regular internal audits to assess adherence to quality standards. Coordinate and participate in external audits by regulatory bodies or clients.

  • Data Analysis – Collect and analyse quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Use statistical tools to evaluate process capabilities and product conformance.

  • Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve non\-conformities, customer complaints, or quality issues. Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Supplier Quality Management – Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers. Work closely with suppliers to address quality concerns and improve incoming materials where necessary.

  • Employee Training – Provide quality standards and procedures training to manufacturing personnel. Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement

  • Documentation and Reporting – Maintain accurate and comprehensive quality records. Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators.

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives – Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance overall efficiency and quality.

  • BRCGS Compliance – Lead by example to ensure BRCGS standards and regulations are maintained in daily operations

  • Customer Interaction – Interface with customers to understand their quality expectations and address concerns. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to relay quality\-related information.

  • Risk Management – Identify and assess potential risks to product quality. Develop risk mitigation strategies to prevent quality issues.
Knowledge and skills
  • Experience in the corrugated/print and food sector (preferred)

  • Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines

  • Have a good eye for detail and be methodological in approach

  • Previous demonstratable experience within a Manufacturing Quality role

  • Ability to multi\-task, prioritise, and time manage

  • Experience with BRCGS/ISO/FSC company processes

  • Strong IT Literacy Skills

  • Excellent Problem\-solving skills, ability to address challenges with creative and practical solutions
