Quality Laboratory Assistant

The Quality/Laboratory Assistant works with the Quality Manager and team in the responsibilities described below.

Responsibilities as follows:

• Carrying out daily quality checks e.g. temperature checks twice daily – morning and evening. Paperwork checks, scales calibration, product weight check, knife spot checks, toolbox checks, sign off pasteuriser charts, collecting paperwork, hygiene and GMP audit. Inspect the yard, CAT 3 area, the packaging store \& the canteen daily.


• GMP daily audits \& corrective action \& trending of the data for meetings.


• Corrective action – any issues raised are to be dealt with immediately with the operator and reported to management.


• Ensuring all quality, PRP, HACCP and SOPs are being followed correctly on the production floor. Reporting issues to Quality Team Lead and Production Manager.


• Collecting samples and swabs for external testing ALT.


• Report out of specification product, GMP \& Hygiene Audit non\-conformance to Quality Lead.


• Monthly checks: Glass \& hard plastic audit and temp probe calibration


• Carrying out all testing outlined in the laboratory manual and reporting any non\-conformances to management immediately


• Taking stock and ordering of laboratory materials


• Water and chemical testing


• Carrying out data entry using Microsoft excel and word


• Attending weekly quality meetings and highlighting any ongoing issues or nonconformances

Shifts: Laboratory 7:00am – 3:00pm \& 10:00am – 6:00pm with 1 hr unpaid lunch break

Quality: 8:00am – 4:00pm \& 9:00am – 5:00pm with 1 hr unpaid lunch break
