Quality Engineer

REQUIREMENTS (PERSONAL QUALITIES)

· Degree in relevant area (Quality, Management or engineering)\- Preferred.

· Good communication skills, good command of English in speaking and writing, fluency in MS Office or similar applications

· Previous work experience: experience in product quality control 9001 system.

· Attention to detail

· Able to work effectively in a diverse environment whilst maintaining focus.

· Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).

· Assist with the control of documented information and quality records.

· Support corrective actions, concessions, and non\-conformance investigations.

· Support supplier quality activities, including supplier non\-conformances and corrective actions.

· Assist Purchasing in resolving supplier quality issues.

· Support the investigation of customer complaints and quality concerns.

· Assist in identifying and implementing corrective actions.

· Collect and analyse quality data and performance measures.

· Assist in reporting quality performance and trends for Management Review.

· Participate in improvement activities aimed at reducing defects, waste, and process variation.

· Support root cause investigations and implementation of improvement actions.

RANGE OF DUTIES

This role reports to Operations Manager.

Duties and tasks include, but are not limited to:

For Quality

· Experience in Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical manufacture / inspection and defect analysis Root cause investigation Ensuring a high level of product quality.

· Participation in internal and external audits.

· To be the technical contact for production in the absence of the Quality engineer.

· Able to create procedures.

· Able to perform FMEA on the production process.

· Supervision of measuring equipment.

· Performing outgoing inspections.

· Covering Goods Inwards Inspection.

· Competent in the use of electrical and mechanical measurement equipment (Multimeters, Micrometres, Vernier callipers etc).

For Health, Safety and Environmental commitments:

· Supervision of Chemicals (COSHH).

· Ensuring and promoting high level of Health \& Safety culture in workplace.

REPORTS

· This role has no direct reports.

Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
