Quality Control Engineer

• Annual Salary: £33k - £35k DOE


• Location: UK


• Job Type: Full-time

Day-to-day of the role:

• Perform technical validation of products, raw materials, components, and traded goods, including reading technical drawings and Technical Data Sheets (TDS).


• Analyse data to identify trends and issues in product quality.


• Create and maintain testing sheets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inspections.


• Support root-cause investigations using problem-solving tools to address quality issues.


• Maintain and improve housekeeping in the Quality lab using 5S methodology.


• Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is maintained and calibrated.


• Report all incidents or accidents through the correct channels.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quality team within a manufacturing or testing laboratory environment.


• Strong understanding of inspection, testing, and quality control methodologies.


• Ability to read and interpret technical information, including technical drawings and specifications.


• Excellent attention to detail with strong communication and reporting abilities.


• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team, and under pressure.


• IT literate.


• Desirable skills/experience in CMM measurement, 6 sigma, 5S, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and industry standards.
