Alta Ares is a deeptech startup founded in 2024, building real\-time AI for defense operations (ISR, Counter\-UAS). Our primary customers are NATO\-aligned armed forces, and our systems are regularly deployed in live operational exercises.

  • Real\-time AI ISR modules deployable on drones and tactical platforms

  • Counter\-UAS software for detection, tracking, and neutralization

Role \& MissionsQuality Control \& Inspection
  • Define and implement incoming, in\-process, and final inspection procedures

  • Create quality checklists, acceptance criteria, and control plans for mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical assemblies

  • Perform or supervise inspections and functional tests to validate product conformity

  • Manage non\-conformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented

Approve products for shipment based on defined quality standards
  • Process Development \& Continuous Improvement

  • Establish scalable quality control processes and documentation

  • Analyze defect trends, failure modes, and production yield to identify root causes

  • Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions

  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor product and supplier quality

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve reliability
  • Supplier Quality

  • Define incoming inspection standards for purchased components and assemblies

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance

  • Track supplier non\-conformities and corrective actions

Support qualification and auditing of critical suppliers
  • Documentation \& Compliance

  • Maintain inspection records, test reports, and traceability documentation

  • Ensure product quality data is accurately captured and archived

  • Support implementation of ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent quality standards

  • Contribute to the development of a robust Quality Management System
Requirements

Candidate Profile* 3\+ years of experience in manufacturing quality control or quality engineering

  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods, root cause analysis, and quality tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC)

  • Experience with mechanical assemblies, electronics, and functional testing

  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, or QMS systems

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and PCB integration

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high\-reliability industries is a strong plus
